If your Auto-Unlock feature stops working, please check the following:

  

  

#### Are Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled on your device?

  

Auto-Unlock requires that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your phone. If Auto-Unlock has recently stopped working for you, go to your phone’s settings and **verify that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled**.

#### Are your location permissions enabled?

  

The August app requires specific location access on your phone to enable Auto-Unlock. Ensure that your location permissions for the August app are set to **Always** and that **Precise Location** is turned on.

#### If you have an Android, did you check your battery optimization settings?

  

Android's battery optimization feature limits the background processes that Auto-Unlock requires. Ensure that battery optimization is turned off for the August app.

#### Did you force quit the app?

If you force quit the August app after leaving your house, Auto-Unlock may stop working because the app has lost the Home/Away status.

  

#### Did you enter through a different door?

Auto-Unlock works best if you enter and exit through the same door.
