The integration between August and SimpliSafe allows customers to control their August Smart Locks using the SimpliSafe security system.

When customers arm or disarm their system using the SimpliSafe Key Fob, Keypad, or mobile app, their August Smart Lock will automatically lock or unlock depending on the customer’s preferred functions in their SimpliSafe settings.

  

#### How It Works

1.  Customers with SS2 or SS3 Interactive systems can log in to their accounts and then go to the System Settings section of the SimpliSafe Web App.
2.  Within system settings, go to the section called "Integrations"
3.  Click the "Authorize" button within the August integration section which prompts you to login to your August account.
4.  After authorizing, users receive a prompt to choose an August location where the smart lock is installed.
5.  Once users choose an August location, they will then see a list of locks on their account within the SimpliSafe Web App.
6.  From top to bottom there is a list of locks on your August account. Across the top will show each of the alarm modes - Home, Away, and Off.
7.  Users choose an action for each lock and each mode. For example, the front door lock might be set to unlock in Off mode and lock in both Home and Away modes. This is totally up to the user as to how they want this lock to behave for the various modes. You can also choose to "ignore" the lock within a given mode, which means it stays in its current state when you change modes.
8.  Once set, these settings work regardless of how you interact with your SimpliSafe system either through the keypad, key fob, or mobile app.

Once everything is configured, you can begin using your system and taking advantage of the additional security and convenience this integration enables.

Other notes:

*   Lock or unlock functions only take place after an exit delay has expired, so it won't lock you in the house if you arm your system on the way out.
*   Integrating the August Smart Lock or August Smart Lock Pro with SimpliSafe requires an August Connect Wi-Fi Bridge or Doorbell Cam to connect the Bluetooth lock to Wi-Fi.
