August Smart Lock owners have the ability to issue **Always On**, **Temporary**, and **Recurring** entry codes. If you have a [Smart Keypad](https://august.com/products/august-smart-keypad) connected to a second generation August Smart Lock or later, follow the instructions below to add an entry code.

PLEASE NOTE: Owners of the first generation August Smart Lock are limited to issuing **Always On** entry codes.

### App Access + Entry Code User

1.  Navigate to the Guest List.
2.  Click on the user whose entry code you want to manage.
3.  Tap on App Access.
4.  Choose Always, Recurring, or Temporary.
5.  The schedule you choose will apply for both App Access and Entry Code Access.

### Entry-Code Only User

1.  Navigate to the Guest List.
2.  Click on the user whose entry code you want to manage.
3.  Tap on PIN Access.
4.  Choose Always, Recurring, or Temporary.
