# August Connect is Offline

If your lock shows **Device unavailable**, it is because your lock's Wi-Fi is offline.

This article will help you determine why your August Connect Wi-Fi Bridge is offline, and take steps to bring it back online.

In order to troubleshoot, you will need:

1.  To be in the same location as the August Connect Wi-Fi Bridge
2.  Be an [Owner](https://support.august.com/types-of-guest-access-r1C1P810uM) of the lock associated with that August Connect Wi-Fi Bridge 

  

### **Is your home internet working?**

  

Your August Connect Wi-Fi Bridge may be offline due to an Internet connectivity issue. Check your home Wi-Fi connection to ensure that your Internet is working. 

  

  

### **Have you rebooted your Connect?**

  

If you’ve checked your connection and the Internet is working, try the following to reboot your August Connect Wi-Fi Bridge:

  

1.  Unplug the device from the outlet. 
2.  Plug the August Connect Wi-Fi Bridge back into the outlet.

  

Your Connect LED indicator should display the following: Off (no light) for a few seconds, then flashing green rapidly.

If your Connect rejoins your home network successfully, the LED will turn off. Your issue should be then resolved.

  

  

### **Is your Connect flashing red continuously?**

  

If your Connect starts to flash red continuously, you’ll need to reset your Connect and set it up again. 

First, disconnect your device from the August or Yale Access app:

  

1.  In the app, go to **Settings** by tapping the **gear icon (⚙)**.
2.  Tap your Connect from the devices listed.
3.  Tap **Disconnect Device**.
4.  Tap **DISCONNECT**.
5.  Your device is now disconnected.

  

Then reset the device:

  

1.  Hold the reset button for 5 seconds, and then release.
2.  The August Connect Wi-Fi Bridge LED indicator should turn off for a few seconds, and then begin flashing green.

### **Additional Troubleshooting**

  

If the August Connect Wi-Fi Bridge fails to show any LED activity after troubleshooting, try unplugging it and plugging it back into a different outlet. If after 10 seconds the unit does not display any light activity, please contact [Customer Support](https://support.august.com/en_us/contacting-august-support-rJeev8JAuf).
